FrameFile Privacy Policy
Effective August 8, 2026
FrameFile is designed to organize screenshots privately on your device. This policy explains what information FrameFile processes and how you control it.
Information processed by FrameFile
FrameFile processes only the screenshots you choose to import, along with information you add or create in the app. This can include screenshot images, thumbnails, recognized text, titles, notes, categories, favorites, statuses, import dates, and reminder dates.
How information is used
This information is used only to provide FrameFile features, including organizing screenshots, searching recognized text, suggesting categories, showing cleanup reviews, and scheduling reminders.
On-device processing and storage
Screenshot content is stored locally in FrameFile's app storage. Text recognition is performed on the device using Apple's Vision framework. FrameFile does not operate a server or upload screenshot content for processing.
Photos and notifications
FrameFile accesses only images you explicitly select or share with the app. It does not automatically scan your Photos library. If you create a reminder, FrameFile asks iOS to schedule a local notification on your device.
Data collection, tracking, and sharing
FrameFile does not collect personal data from the app, sell data, track users, serve advertising, or include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. No FrameFile account is required.
Retention and deletion
Your data remains in the app until you delete an individual item, use Delete All App Data in Settings, or uninstall the app. Deleting an item from FrameFile does not delete the original from Photos. Device and iCloud backups are controlled by your Apple and iOS settings and may retain app data according to Apple's backup policies.
Children's privacy
Because FrameFile does not collect or transmit personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If FrameFile's privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and its effective date revised. Material changes will also be reflected in the app and its App Store privacy disclosures as appropriate.
